Who needs sleeping pills? Dickens knocks me out every time!
I’ve not made one lick of progress with A tale of Two Cities. I swear I’ve tried. Is it really me though? Why don’t I see what critics rave about? Every time I pick it up and attempt to read it, I feel as though I’m in a dream. Before I know it, I’ve fallen asleep and my efforts have been wasted. I fell asleep during the first Lord of the Rings movie. It took me 7 or 8 tries until I was able to stay awake and enjoy it. It was a great film. Maybe the same goes for Dickens. If I can manage to read the first 50 pages I’m certain I would be motivated enough to finish.
My library fine will have to be paid. I’ve wasted far too much time on this book. I’ll never accomplish my goal if I keep this up.
